Abstract
Vancomycin Resistant Enterococci (VRE) 10 specimens were identified by API strep and VITEK system. And these 10 VREs were examined antibiotic susceptibility by Vitek system and agardilution method. Seven of 10 VREs were isolated in stool carriage, and 3 of 10 VREs were isolated in clinical specimens. Isolates were identified as 2 E. faecium, 2 E. faecalis, and 6 E. casseliflavus of the 10 VREs, 2 E. faecium and 2 E. faecalis were all high level resistant to vancomycin(minimum inhibitory concentration, MEC>32§¶¡¤§¢_(-1)) and teicoplanin (MIC>32§¶¡¤§¢_(-1)), thus all were identified as phenotype VanA. 6 E. casseliflavus were all low level resistant to vancomycin(4§¶¡¤§¢_(-1))
